"Mike made a huge contribution in bringing creativity and biology together in the classroom of Holistic Science at Schumacher College. Mike was prepared to both lead and follow the students in their transformative learning. The two weeks spent teaching together in 2015-16 showed that imaginative participation enhances the core communication of biology and physics. Our work together was the basis of "Goethean Pedagogy: a case in innovative science education and implications for work based learning" published by Emerald. Mike has worked at establishing creative learning as the basic norm for any educational endeavour pointing the way to a future direction for schools and universities across the globe to follow. "

“The greatest pleasure of participating in Mike's classes with student teachers was not watching him teach, but rather being able to observe how joyful learning happens when he hands over the responsibility for learning to the students.”
